About the project
The FReINDs project aims to achieve the following:
Support SMEs in Transitioning to Digital Industrial Ecology: FReINDs provides an innovative framework to help SMEs overcome barriers such as regulatory constraints, low industry cooperation, and lack of information sharing, fostering their shift towards a digital circular economy through Industrial Symbiosis (IS).
Develop and Deliver Industrial Symbiosis Training: The project designs and implements an Industrial Symbiosis Manager (ISM) curriculum that equips professionals with the skills to drive digital IS and Circular Economy (CE) initiatives. Training resources, digital tools, workshops, and webinars are part of the comprehensive learning activities planned.
Produce Tools and Networks to Advance Digital IS Competencies: FReINDs aims to deliver practical outcomes, including a MOOC for skill development in digital IS, a research analysis on gaps in IS/CE, an IS Toolkit for assessing enterprise readiness, and a network for public authorities to enhance digital IS strategy adoption.
